The Algiz 10XR provides hardware compatibility for Linux distributions. Almost all functions are accessible via standard applications or software interfaces within the Linux distribution.
The Algiz 10XR has a built-in Micro-Controller-Unit (MCU), which allows to use device specific functionality, such as:
- Remap hardware keys (Lock, Menu, F1, and F2)
- Enable/disable WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, WWAN and cameras
- Get detailed information from main- and backup-battery
The MCU is connected to Linux via serial port.

For Linux support for the touch screen install the following driver.

- Linux driver for WWAN module “EM9191”
- Software interface (API) to switch between Touch-modes (Normal, Rain, Glove)
- Software applications to use/test barcode scanner and NFC
