How to upgrade Algiz RT10 from Android 11 to Android 13

Follow the steps below to upgrade from Android 11 to Android 13 on your Handheld Algiz RT10 rugged tablet.

Before proceeding with the upgrade, make sure to back up any important user data. The update will involve a factory reset, which will erase all personal data and settings from the device.

1. Download the Upgrade File

Download the upgrade .zip file to your computer.
Transfer the .zip file to the RT10s internal storage.

2. Prepare Device Settings

Go to Settings - Display - Screen Timeout.
Change the screen timeout setting to 30 minutes (this ensures the device will stay awake during the update).

3. Install the Update

Navigate to Settings - System - Advanced - System Update.
Tap the cogwheel icon in the upper-right corner.
Select Install Local Update.
Browse to the folder where you placed the downloaded .zip file.
Select the .zip file.
When prompted to install the update, press OK.
The device will begin installing the upgrade package. Wait until the installation is completed.

4. Reboot the Device

Once the installation is finished, press Reboot in the lower-right corner to restart the device.

5. Perform a Factory Reset

After the device restarts, navigate to Settings - System - Reset Options - Erase All Data (Factory Reset).
Tap Erase All Data twice to confirm. The device will then reset to factory settings.
