Elara Aerospace uses the Nordalp Algiz 10XR for testing, inventory, and workshop processes

At Elara Aerospace, Nordalp’s robust Algiz 10XR devices are used in various areas of daily operations. The goal was to make workflows in testing, the workshop, and inventory management more efficient, flexible, and transparent. In a short time, this enabled the significant simplification and optimization of several processes.

Mobile use at the test stand and for PLC programming
A key area of application is mobile operation at the test bench and the programming of our PLCs. With the Algiz 10XR, staff can take the device directly to the test bench and use the portable CODESYS program there. This allows them to move freely around the test bench and conduct tests directly on-site.
Previously, these tasks required setting up a laptop first to carry out the work. The Algiz 10XR eliminates this extra effort. Employees can begin testing sooner, save valuable time, and work with significantly greater flexibility. This mobility is a major advantage, especially in dynamic testing environments.

Digital support within the inventory system
Another key area of application is the inventory system. Elara Aerospace has developed a proprietary inventory, tracking, and financial tool for this purpose. The devices are used to record and manage components and parts directly within the system.
A key advantage is that employees will be able to authenticate themselves directly at the device when removing components from inventory. This makes it possible to track who removed which component, as well as when and where the removal took place. This transparency not only simplifies daily organization but also helps locate components quickly, eliminating the need for time-consuming searches through stock or workshop areas.
Furthermore, this creates a complete history for every single component. This traceability is of great value, particularly when quality issues arise later or technical anomalies need to be analysed.

Use in the workshop: Drawings and CNC data always at hand
The Algiz 10XR has also established itself as a practical tool in the workshop. Employees take the devices directly to their workstations, ensuring they have technical drawings, 3D files, or CNC milling codes close at hand at all times.
In the past, technical drawings were frequently printed out. If a component also needed to be viewed in 3D, doing so on a desktop or personal computer was often inconvenient. With the Algiz 10XR, relevant data can now be downloaded, opened, and viewed directly in the workshop. This significantly simplifies the work while simultaneously reducing the need for paper printouts.

This is particularly helpful when processing components that vary widely in size—ranging from just a few grams to several hundred kilograms. Immediate access to drawings and 3D models right at the workstation improves handling and supports precise workflows.

Reliable even under demanding outdoor conditions
Since the test stand is located outdoors, Elara Aerospace also benefits from the devices' robust design. A major advantage is that the Algiz 10XR units can be used reliably even in rain or snow. This makes them ideal for our work environment, where mobile devices need to be not only high-performing but also durable.

Conclusion
By deploying the Algiz 10XR from Nordalp, Elara Aerospace was able to simplify and improve several key processes in a short period of time. The devices support teams with mobile testing, PLC programming, inventory management, and workshop operations. This accelerates workflows, enhances traceability, and ensures that critical data always remains efficiently accessible—even during demanding field operations.
