[Lidköping 2025-06-23] We are pleased to announce that Nordalp AB has started its business. Nordalp AB will cooperate with Nordalp in Germany and Switzerland. Together we will provide innovative and rugged mobile devices for demanding applications.

Before founding Nordalp, our team worked closely together for over 13 years in the manufacturing of rugged mobile computers for the industrial market. Through this long-standing collaboration in hardware and software development, we gained valuable experience and continuously expanded our expertise.

Following MilDef’s strategic decision to fully focus on the defense and security sector, the company integrated Handheld’s defense portfolio into its core operations. As a result, Nordalp was founded as an independent venture by former Handheld employees. Nordalp continues the legacy by delivering high-performance rugged tablets, PDAs, and customized hardware and software solutions tailored for the industrial market.

The name "Nordalp" reflects the close connection and international collaboration of our team. It consists of two parts: "Nord," representing the Nordic countries and referring to the team from Sweden, and "alp," representing the Alps and symbolizing the team from southern Germany and Switzerland.

"We spoke to existing customers about our planned project very quickly and received consistently positive feedback," says Helmut Feurhuber, CEO of Nordalp GmbH. "We are confident that we will continue to run our business successfully and offer our customers the best service and support for our products.

"We look forward to working with our distribution partners to develop new products that can withstand the toughest conditions and provide optimal solutions for your needs." Johan Hed, CEO and Product Manager of Nordalp AB, Sweden, "Our goal is to continue providing innovative, reliable, and customized solutions for our customers."
